Jonathan Breemhaar
When Jonathan was confronted with the enormous impact is of the meat industry he decided to use his background in mechanical engineering to help cultured meat becoming a reality. Growing actual meat in the lab requires a lot of biological knowledge and research, but eventually this should be done within machines of which some are not invented yet. He teamed up with the lab of professor Mark Post to automate the process of growing muscle fibres in vitro and graduated on this topic from the Technical University of Delft.
After graduation Jonathan moved to the city of Maastricht to join Mosa Meat and continued the developments. This company has the mission to release the pressure on our environment by replacing exploited farm animals by efficient meat machines.
