Alex Vardakostas
Alex grew up in his parents’ burger restaurants in Southern California and knows firsthand what it is like to stand at that griddle. He’s propelled by a passion for a better future for food as well as a better way to work – flipping burgers, in his experience, is not exactly the culmination of the human spirit, and dead-ended some of the best aspects of restaurant work: creativity and social interaction.
So, after studying physics in college, Alex spent two years in solitude in his parents’ garage until he could produce a prototype device that proved his idea could come to light, a way to create higher quality food, yet in a more efficient way. With the help of brilliant colleagues, the Creator restaurant launched to demonstrate how higher quality food with exemplary sourcing could be offered at fast food prices.
